Ross Elementary Day of Service Registration
Education access and quality in the San Diego community varies radically based on many factors. In order to empower and support the students with whom we work, we must better understand the barriers placed in front of them and their schools. To that end, we’ll be showing several documentaries on education in the United States with emphasis on its relation to poverty and institutionalized classism and racism.
Stop by SSC 400, grab some free popcorn, hang out with other EdCorps tutors and campus community members, and learn more about the communities we serve in as tutors and mentors at our K-12 school sites.
All students and community members are welcome to come by at any time 11AM-4PM. Documentaries will be played back-to-back, and the door will be open for anyone who wants to come in, even if it’s just for a short time.
Thanks to everyone who helped make the EducationCorps Bake Sale a success at WOW yesterday! Together, you raised $124.79 and helped 17 people sign up for more information. We are so thankful to be working with such an awesome team of student leaders. Congrats on a job well done and have a Happy Friday! #ucsdservice
