And you’re never too old to accomplish something either. #MotivationMonday http://ow.ly/i/6QskM
On Monday, April 13 from 6-7:30 p.m., please join Education Corps and Teach for America at UCSD for a film screening and panel about equity in education and the current state of public education in America. “Waiting for Superman” is a 2010 documentary that analyzes the American public education system by following several students as they strive to be accepted into a charter school.
Education Corps will also be collecting school supplies for Tools for Schools, a drive benefiting 17 local San Diego K-12 schools, during the event and throughout the week in partnership with the UCSD Bookstore. Please feel free to bring your donation with you to participate!
Light refreshments will be available. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. More information about the week’s events at UCSD Cares Campaign.

UCSD Cares Week, between April 13-17, is the perfect time to give back to local San Diego schools! EducationCorps is partnering with the UCSD Bookstore to make a big impact at the schools our tutors serve with Tools for Schools.
How it works:
During UCSD Cares Week, shop the UCSD Bookstore supply department located on the second floor for school supplies to donate. Bring your purchase to any register, and tell the cashier you will be dropping the supplies off in a “Tools for Schools” collection box on your way out to receive a 20% discount. Red and white striped donation boxes are located on the first floor, second floor, Imprints/Perks, Library Walk entrances to the bookstore, and around campus.
Proceeds go to:
Baker Elementary, Bell Middle School, Bethune K-8, E3 Civic High, Farb Middle School, John Muir K-12, Kearny DMD, King-Chavez High, Kit Carson Elementary, Linda Vista Elementary, Mission Bay High, Monarch School, Montgomery Middle, Nile Sisters, Preuss School, Ross Elementary, Serra High School.
