MemberShip Requirements and Application

Membership Requirements: For Returning and New Volunteers 

All members are responsible for the following: 

  1. Turning in their paperwork, in a timely manner, prior to their start date
  2. Tutoring and mentoring at least 4 to 8 hours per week as assigned for the quarter
  3. Notifying school Site Lead and Program Coordinator of an absence
    • Note: Contact should be made 48 hours in advance
  4. Attending Pre-Service Orientation and at least 1 monthly GBM training per quarter
  5. Signing In and Out on volunteer sheets and turning in the EdCorps Monthly Timesheet
  6. Participating in at least one tabling, flyering, and other event  opportunities (i.e. Tools for Schools) when available
  7. Follow code of conduct guidelines

Application Process goes as follows

  1. Complete an EducationCorps Applications
  2. Complete and Submit a SDSU Volunteer Application 
  3. Submit a copy of a government issued ID and TB Test (taken within the last two years)
  4. Complete and Submit a Student Passenger Voluntary Waiver Form For Community Service Transportation 
  5. Attend Orientation Session (details will be provided via email)

TB test and SDUSD Volunteer Application are required for ALL of our service sites prior to your start date. Please check out our Resource Page for additional service site specific requirements and paperwork.
